We’re pleased to partner with our client, Destination Vancouver, in their search for a Digital Experience Manager. This individual plays a key role in developing new digital platforms and enhancing existing ones to provide a top-notch trip planning experience. Establishing and monitoring metrics, managing the development of various digital projects, and identifying opportunities for improvement and ROI maximization are a few of the role’s key responsibilities.

This role has the possibility of moving to hybrid once the initial in-person training period at their Vancouver, BC office is complete.  

About the role 

  • Manage the development of websites, digital tools and properties, including UI design and CMS use for updates and content management. 
  • Analyze and report on digital performance (SEO, KPIs and other engagement metrics), providing executive-level reports on a regular basis. 
  • Oversee ongoing conversion rate optimization (CRO) to improve website and digital property performance. 
  • Lead, coordinate and oversee vendor relationships related to digital development projects to achieve desired results and meet project timelines. 
  • Oversee SEO activities, complete performance audits, develop and carry out strategy to increase performance and reach goals. 
  • Manage the set-up and maintenance of a customer database, including user identity resolution and use of data to optimize paid media campaigns. 
  • Review email marketing and CRM activities, updating strategy to align with ongoing work. 
  • Develop and provide ongoing management of web and mobile push notifications strategy and execution. 
  • Lead and coach a direct report, providing feedback for development as appropriate. 

The salary range for this role is $75,100 - $88,200 plus bonus, extended healthcare benefits, matching RRSP program, generous paid time off, and more. 

About you  

  • 5+ years’ experience in a website and digital platform development role 
  • 3+ years of team management experience  
  • Post-secondary education in digital marketing, digital analytics, business and/or equivalent experience 
  • Digital project management experience with agile and/or waterfall methodologies 
  • Expertise in web/digital property management that includes CMS systems, digital analytics, conversion rate optimization, SEO and UI/UX design 
  • Positive, innovative and entrepreneurial outlook, driven by results; strong strategic orientation and committed to excellence 
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics, tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.) 
  • Knowledgeable in SEM, demand side platforms and email marketing software 
  • Deep knowledge of content management systems 
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, expertise in Google Search Console and SEO software (e.g., SEMRush, Moz, Ahrefs or similar) 
  • Familiar with consumer privacy regulations requirements and implications for marketing 
  • Experience with managing digital content including text, images, videos and graphics 
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills 
  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines 
  • Proven track record in team building and leadership skills 
  • Knowledge of PHP, Python and SQL preferred
