Communications Lead

You are an experienced marketing communications professional who enjoys all aspects of digital communications from integrated strategies to using data to inform your next plan. You are skilled at building measurement into campaigns and have extensive experience in researching and analyzing data from various sources, along with building out reports to show results. Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, an organic food company, in their search for a Communications Lead. This role reports to the Communications Director, and is focused on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and consumer engagement strategy and initiatives. About the role:

The Communications Lead is a specialist in digital marketing communications, and works with a customer-centric focus. The lead for CRM programs, this role in considered to be the consumer segmentation and targeting expert within the communications department, and supports development of strategy and processes to enable results-driven online engagement with current and prospective consumers of organic food products. Main areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead strategy development for CRM, CRM automation, customer segmentation across all digital platforms (internal and external)
  • Create and execute audience segmentation logic to deliver targeted communication across different digital channels, for each company brand
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for loyalty and retention programs
  • Support communications team with data and narrative gathered from social listening to contribute to digital and corporate brand campaigns
  • Engage with online audience on social channels
  • Gather and analyze data from marketing campaigns; develop reports on campaign performance related to engagement and conversions

About you:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, business, or related area
  • 7+ years of social media management / marketing automation experience
  • Highly experienced in developing processes for integrated digital marketing programs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience in engaging proactively with online communities
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to take large amounts of data and condense into meaningful reports with a focus on results and next steps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
