Brand Specialist

Surrey, BC, Canada
Full Time
Marketing
Mid Level

If you love a solid project plan, take pride in product launches that run like a Swiss timepiece, and get real satisfaction from delivering clean, accurate work, this role was made for you.

You'll bring more structure, consistency, and follow-through to brand and product initiatives across a growing portfolio. You’ll build deep knowledge of products, flavours, SKUs, and performance data before turning that insight into brand activity that shows up strong and is ready to go-to market.

Smart, Savvy + Associates is partnering with a Canadian, independent food company in the natural snacks space to hire a Brand Specialist. This role sits at the intersection of brand, innovation, and sales support and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced CPG environment where priorities move quickly and execution matters.

The environment is collaborative, people-first, and highly engaged, with an in-office setup where being close to the product, packaging, and team truly matters.

What you’ll do:

  • Build a strong working understanding of the brand portfolio and positioning
  • Audit, organize, and maintain packaging files and brand assets to ensure accuracy, compliance, and version control
  • Support brand consistency across packaging, sales materials, and customer-facing assets
  • Coordinate the execution of new product launches and line extensions for retail
  • Manage timelines across departments, venders and internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of product briefs, communication plans, and sell-in materials
  • Analyze category, pricing, promotion, and competitive data to support portfolio decisions
  • Work with internal and external data sources (including Nielsen) to understand trends and performance
  • Support annual planning with thoughtful analysis across products, pricing, and distribution
  • Build and maintain trade presentations, sales collateral, pricing tools, and POS materials
  • Flag risks early, communicate progress clearly and recommend adjustments when plans need to evolve

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field
  • 3–4 years of experience in a brand, marketing, or product-focused role (CPG experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into action
  • Proven project management skills and exceptional organizational ability
  • High attention to detail — accuracy matters in this role
  • Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A proactive, self-directed working style with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and influencing without authority

Experience working with Nielsen data, packaging processes, or retail launches is considered an asset.

Additional details:

💰$65,000–$72,000 base salary + 100% employer-paid benefits and RRSP matching
🏖️3 weeks vacations to start

📍Location: Fully in-office, Surrey, BC
