Marketing Communications Manager

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, a non-profit Foundation in the arts sector, in their search for a Marketing Communications Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing Communications Manager will lead all marketing and communications activities for the Foundation, including event materials, website content, social media publishing, and print publications. About the role:

  • Develop and execute communications strategies and annual calendar to promote programs and events as well as overarching organizational goals
  • Create compelling content for print materials, web content, and social media posts to reach varied audiences across multiple platforms, with a focus on event collateral
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities
  • Develop PR strategies and campaigns to build public awareness
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts across BC
  • Monitor and review analytics for website and social media channels

About you:

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing and communications in a not-for-profit organization
  • Post-secondary education/training in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations
  • Skilled in graphic design for print and web assets, complemented by a creative visual aesthetic
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully with individuals, team, and external stakeholders including media
  • Experienced digital engagement through content strategy, creation, publishing, and management, for websites and on multiple social media channels
  • Entrepreneurial thinker with a growth mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Self-motivated and holds self to high standards of work
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or French is an asset.
